Locally there is a shop for provisions, a post office and a takeaway. There are several excellent pubs in Bishopston, within 15 minutes walk, with food available.
Hareslade itself is a small community surrounded by fields. There is a variety of properties from cabins and timber chalets to large modern dwellings. The area is ideal for families and very safe for children. This property is arranged over a single floor and can accommodate six people in three bedrooms (one double and two twins). There is a large living room to the front of the property with an adjoining porch/sun room. To the rear is dining kitchen with views across the rear garden to the fields beyond. The family bathroom has an over-bath shower, basin and WC.
There is parking for 2 cars on the private drive to the side of the house. There is also a large garden opposite the property on the other side of the gravel road.
Bishopston is a large village situated at the head of the Bishopston Valley - a great location from which to explore Gower. The beautiful Valley winds down to Pwlldu Bay which is one of the more secluded beaches and ideal to escape the crowds in the busy summer months. Brandy Cove as just a short walk around the coast but why stop there with the whole of the gower coast accessible to you.
The village has a well stocked Spar Supermarket and three excellent local pubs one of which , The Joiners Arms, brewing its own Ales. All three pubs serve food.
