The National Waterfront Museum

The National Waterfront Museum takes us on a journey through industry and innovation in Wales over the last 300 years. Swansea holds a vast history of industrial and maritime heritage and it can all be explored at the Waterfront Museum - a truly captivating experience awaits... The National Waterfront Museum allows you to take control of your own experience, allowing you to explore the exhibitions, displays and information as you want. Lose yourself in the rich and varied history of Welsh industry and innovation.

The National Waterfront Museum Building opened in 2005 and elegantly combines old and new architecture with stunning results. Being one of Wales’s biggest, most ambitious projects, it certainly doesn’t let the side down as one of Wales’s most interesting attractions, and it’s free too!
