The Blackpill Lido is great fun for children, located right next to the promenade, many hours can be spent splashing around in the shallow pool with water jets and fountains to play in and a rubber beach area to sit on. The Swansea Bay Rider
The Swansea Bay Rider is a land train which runs between Southend Gardens in Mumbles and Blackpill Lido on bank holiday weekends in May and throughout the Summer. The Land Train is a playful homage to the Historic Mumbles Railway, the world’s first tram system, which ran the length of the prom and opened more than 200 years ago. Sadly it was decommissioned in the 1960s and is still missed, but now we have the Swansea Bay Rider to fill the gap and whilst it in no way measures up to its famous ancestor it is fun and the kids love it.Read More
